Oakland Is Cycling Heaven (No Kidding)
What's more, our shop is a really convenient start and finish location for road rides if just for one nice reason: you finish downhill.
We're centrally located in the Lake Merritt district of Oakland, which means you have numerous options for rides of widely varying difficulty and scenery if you start here. Take a pick from over a dozen ways to climb up to the Skyline or Tilden Park ridge -- really!
Then discover roads like Redwood Road, Pinehurst Road, Skyline Boulevard and Grizzly Peak Boulevard and see just why Bicycling Magazine rated Oakland one of the best cycling cities in the country ("The Urban 100", November 2002).
For those of you with the penchant for dirt, we've got no shortage of trails for you to ride on either. Redwood Regional Park. Tilden Park. Joaquin Miller. Anthony Chabot. Each with a tangled network of scenic rides.
Come by the shop and ask us about other rides.
